White Elephant Book Exchange and Pet Present Workshop
Calling all therapists in our area! Our White Elephant Book Exchange and Pet Present Workshop is a networking event aimed at building connections with therapists in our area. We will be hosting a White Elephant Book Exchange. We ask that you pick one of your MANY therapeutic books and wrap it as a present so that we can play the game of White Elephant. Exchanges among attendees, of course, are welcome!! We will be hosting a pet present workshop, where we will be making holiday presents for our pets! Don’t have a pet? No problem! We are donating any of the leftover supplies or presents to Dog Squad, a local pet rescue mission! We will also be holding a split raffle with proceeds of the split raffle going to Dog Squad.

Acute Stress Stabilization Remote Group
This informed procedure is a structured approach for clients who experience strong sensory input, intense physical sensations, or heightened emotions after a traumatic event. It is most effective in the initial hours, days, or weeks when clients show severe distress or a decline in their functioning. The main goal is to stabilize the individual by reducing or eliminating distress from their uncomfortable memories. This process helps activate the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) system for better information processing of the event and experiences following the event. This method follows Psychological First Aid (PFA) principles, aiming to reduce distress and improve functioning. Ongoing care should be identified for patients needing ongoing support following the intervention.
